At the heart of the social economy in Wales, the Wales Co-operative Centre is an organisation that is in the business of creating a better, fairer, more co-operative society. Since 1982, we have helped to strengthen and empower Welsh communities by supporting the growth of co-operatives and social enterprises, and by collaboratively delivering projects that provide skills and tackle exclusion. Following recent growth, we invite applications from all sections of the community for the post of Engagement and Partnerships Officer on our Digital Communities Wales programme. The post holder will establish, develop and co-ordinate a new Digital Inclusion Alliance in Wales and will take a lead role in gathering, sharing and acting on intelligence within the field od digital inclusion. Experience of working with stakeholders in the NHS and an understanding of the wider Health and Social Care sector Knowledge of key Welsh Government digital and health policy areas, and the Well-being of Future Generations Act An interest in and knowledge of the digital inclusion agenda and the associated challenges of connectivity, e Accessibility and the drivers that influence digital take-up Experience of building effective relationships and partnerships with organisations that result in sustainable change Ability to confidently and enthusiastically engage with senior external stakeholders Ability to identify opportunities for collaboration and problem solving Experience of developing promotional materials e.g. case studies, blogs and the use of social media Experience of compiling research information and presenting this for internal and external use Experience of developing web content via Wordpress NB: The ability to communicate fluently in Welsh is highly desirable but not an essential criteria for this role. The role is fixed term from 1 st July 2019 until 30 th June 2022, with the possibility of extension to 30 th June 2025.The role is offered on a full time basis (35 hours a week) and could be based at any of our offices (Caerphilly, Swansea, Carmarthen or Bangor) with travel across Wales as required. This post is funded by Welsh Government. The starting salary is £31,727 per annum. Closing date is 10:00 pm Sunday 2 nd June 2019.
