Our prestige engineering client is currently recruiting for the following role:

PFMEA Facilitator - £34/hr (Outside IR35) - Coventry - 6 Months (potential for renewal)

Role:
Guiding and consolidation of PFMEA team inputs to ensure adherence to FMEA standards and quality levels. The PFMEA facilitator will evaluate the systems and develop PFMEA and prepare supporting process documentation. They shall interact with a local core engineering team aligned with Global core engineering functional leaders. The engineer will be in the UK but also have the ability to support customers globally.

Primary Job Duties:
- Delivery, workshop leadership and coaching for PFMEA creation
- Guiding and consolidation of PFMEA team inputs to ensure adherence to FMEA standards and quality levels
- Creation of action plans for the team to support capturing or development of relevant input data, documentation or follow on actions (e.g. creation of controls plans, design rules etc.)
- Support the global team to build state of the art core energy storage technology that offers customer base high quality, high performance at a competitive cost.
- Understand regional and global product requirements to deliver effective solutions
- Support engineering team to enable process compliance to ensure high product quality. Tailoring process to meet customer design milestones targets will be key.
- Work with engineering global and local functional teams to Identify required skill sets for excellent product execution.
- Support bi-annual performance reviews for key functional leaders delegated to the development team.

Capabilities and Activities
- Standard documents/Templates/Check-list creation
- Manufacturing Engineering and Process know-how inputs to support PFMEA creation
- DFA/DFM/DFS/FMEA/PFD/Control Plan preparation for design and assembly function
- Study and prepare SOP/SOW document for PFMEA project after joint discussion with customer.
- Train and develop internal team.
- Prepare initial document and get customer approval
- Review documents created by team and submitted to client
- Lead PFMEA CFT review meetings organized by Customer
- Prepare and circulate Project MIS/Dashboard as per requirement.
- Study Risk analysis document and convert to PFMEA
- Attributes, process flow and Migration standard mapping,
- SOPs and check-list creation, Resource assignment
- PFMEA creation/development for vehicle assembly line for Major OEM in UK
- PFD/PFMEA/Control Plan document for Assembly line for Major OEM in Asia

Skills / Experience:
- More than 10 Years experience developing /managing PFMEA and other quality related processes within the Automotive industry.
- Experience building and managing global engineering teams
- Experience with working across global engineering teams where local competencies and engineering costs are considered.
- Experience with automotive systems, thermal cooling systems, HV safety considerations,
- Past Implementation experience Implementing PFMEA process.
- Core knowledge base In PFMEA
- Experience with AIAG/VDA FMEA methodology.
- Expertise of working with standards (IATF 16949).
- Tools APIS_IQ
- Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical or Electromechanical Systems.

Additional Information:
This role is on a contract basis and is Outside IR35 (3rd party assessment at offer stage).
