Job IntroductionThe Senior Finance Manager for Aggregates & Asphalt will manage the provision of regional financial information and reports as part of the regional finance team.It's a varied role where you will play a key part in the delivery of financial performance, through business partnering with regional teams.This includes leading on the completeness of month end results reporting, including thebusiness planning cycle, annual budgets, and monthly forecasts.You will support theHead of Finance, providingfinancial advice, insight, supportandchallenge to improve overall business performance.Main ResponsibilitiesSenior Finance Manager regular activities will include:Playing akey role, working closely with senior management team as a business partner,providing critical support as part of thedecision-makingprocesses includingtactical planning and decisions, importantly providing an impartial conscienceacting with integrityLeading and drivingvalue chain analysis alongside contract margin reviews, forcomplete end to end understanding of customer profitabilityLeading the provision of accurate, timely and SOx compliant accounting informationin support of the senior regional team and ensure controls and governance areadhered to and in compliance with company accounting policiesEnsuringrobust and accurate forecasts and budgets through review andchallenge,presenting financial performance, full year forecasts and budget variancesincluding risks and opportunitiesSupporting CAPEX schedules including capital expenditure authorisations, projectevaluations and forecastsWorking closely with business and other finance colleagues to ensure clarificationand understanding of business performance & consistent application of accountingpolicies and procedures.Provide effective support to the A&A Commercial and Operations Directorsaswell as the broader regionalsenior management teamBuilding partnerships and credible, lasting relationships with all senior managersand their teams and provide financial support to commercial decision makingMentor, coach and develop assistant finance managersThe Ideal Candidate forSenior Finance ManagerWe're looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with experience of working in operations.We're looking for an individual who is able to partner with the business, providing sound strategic financial advice on how to improve performance. The skills and behaviours you'll demonstrate include:Exceptional communication skills, being able to work with people at all levels across the businessCollaborative in your approach. We want relationship buildersFirst class finance skills, ideally in a manufacturing, engineering or construction environment.
