Service Engineer - Welding and EngineeringLocation - NorthwestMonday to Friday, 42 hours per week 7:30 – 16:30Speedy are the UK’s leading hire provider with the widest range of tools, specialist hire equipment, plant and support services – everything for every job!Are you a skilled engineer with a passion for keeping equipment running at its best?Reporting to the Regional Manager, you’ll be responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and compliance of a fleet of welding equipment, working on-site at our customer’s premises. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of your role, ensure top-quality service, and keep operations running smoothly.If you’re looking for your next challenge, we’d love to hear from you.Responsibilities: You will be responsible for the upkeep of current assets on site, delivering the agreed service levels, and building key relationships on site by delivering a first-class service to our customers.Undertaking maintenance, calibration and routine servicing of welding equipment.Troubleshooting known and unknown issues related to breakdowns.Building and maintaining a strong relationship with clients.Maintaining a high level of health and safety at all times.Being up to date on knowledge and understanding of all relevant compliance and regulatory rules and procedures that relate to welding & engineering equipment.Staying fully conversant with the latest welding technology, in particular our partner brands like Kemppi, Lincoln, Binzel, ESAB etcManaging the workflow of the client to meet current demand and future pipelineMaking well informed decisions on the repair and maintenance of the welding & engineering fleet for the project.Arranging routine services directly with clients and their staff.Produce electronic examination reports in a professional manner with high quality standards.Passing on expertise, knowledge, and good working practices to other personnel in the business to support the growth of the project.Demonstrating the right behaviours and ability to adapt and encourage others to face new challenges and embrace the changes required to meet the strategic objectives of SpeedyWhat You’ll Need:Driving Licence: A valid driving licence is essential for this role.A solid background in the repair and maintenance of welding and engineering equipment.
