Who we need

We are seeking a knowledgeable, calm and responsive Safeguarding Team Leader to help deliver an exceptional safeguarding service across Nottingham College. You’ll coordinate day-to-day safeguarding operations, support staff across multiple campuses, and ensure robust case management and multi-agency liaison are always in place.

This is a key leadership role for someone who’s confident navigating complex safeguarding concerns while providing professional oversight, guidance and assurance to both colleagues and students.

What you’ll bring

You’ll be a safeguarding professional with significant experience supporting vulnerable learners. You’ll also bring an excellent working knowledge of safeguarding legislation, a confident approach to external meetings and a calm, methodical mindset.

You’ll also need:

· Proven experience managing safeguarding cases and referrals

· The ability to lead and support a multidisciplinary team

· Up-to-date understanding of KCSiE, Children’s Act 1989, Prevent and contextual safeguarding

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with social care, the police, and education staff

· High attention to detail in case recording and information sharing

· Confidence to contribute to policy development and represent the college at external meetings

· A clear, learner-centred ethos and commitment to inclusive safeguarding
