Your Role as an Oncology Pharmacist: Step into a vital role within an NHS hospital's pharmacy team, supporting oncology and haematology services. You'll be a key contributor to patient safety and treatment efficacy through the following responsibilities:
- Reviewing, checking, screening chemotherapy prescriptions - Providing expert clinical input to oncology and haematology teams - Ensuring the safe and effective delivery of cancer treatments - Supporting patients in understanding and managing their oncology medications - Collaborating with MDTs to improve outcomes for cancer patients - Staying current with oncology protocols and pharmacy best practices
Requirements: - Current and valid GPhC registration - Recent hospital experience is essential - applicants must have prior NHS or hospital-based experience - Experience checking chemotherapy prescriptions is required - Strong understanding of oncology and haematology treatment pathways - Excellent clinical communication and decision-making skills - A commitment to delivering the highest standard of care
Working Hours & Contract Details: This full-time role is based on-site in Lancashire. The position runs Monday to Friday, from 8:45 AM to 5:00 PM, including a 45-minute break. The contract is ongoing, with strong potential for extension.
