Initially, this position will be part of a dedicated project team focused on mapping and evaluating internal controls. Once the framework is established, the role will transition to take ownership of ongoing monitoring, reporting, and advisory activities related to the internal control environment.To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be confident in the principles and language of internal control and comfortable working across various business functions to document controls accurately. At DFS Group, we’re not just a place where everyone is welcome - we’re a place where everyone truly belongs.What you'll be doingCollaboration: Engage with the Internal Control Team and wider stakeholders to align on control objectives and activities.Control Mapping & Assessment: Map and evaluate internal controls in collaboration with operational areas, identifying opportunities for enhanced control effectiveness.Documentation: Define and uphold consistent internal control documentation standards across the organisation.Training & Implementation: Support the rollout of control standards and tools, delivering training and guidance to control operators and relevant teams.System Expertise: Manage the operation, upkeep, and reporting functions of the internal controls system, ensuring it generates reliable data that reflects the organisation’s structure.Monitoring & Oversight: Track system use by control operators and assurance teams, and follow up on any control gaps or weaknesses.Reporting: Generate regular reports to evaluate the performance and effectiveness of internal controls.Continuous Improvement: Seek and recommend opportunities to enhance the control environment.The role is for you if...A solid understanding of internal controls and the ability to work to defined standards.
