Who we need

We are seeking a passionate and adaptable Adult Skills Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching in Employability and Aviation to adult learners. The role focusses on evening classes delivery at Level 2 at our City Hub campus and involvement with our Level 1 delivery at East Midlands Airport. You’ll support adult learners in building confidence, gaining practical skills and progressing toward employment or further education within the aviation industry.

Purpose of the Role:

Plan, deliver, track and assess engaging, inclusive teaching in Employability and Aviation at Level 2 to adult learners.
Support adult learners in building job readiness, sector-specific knowledge and transferable skills.
Create a supporting classroom environment that respects adult learners’ diverse experience and starting points.

What you’ll bring

You are a dedicated and inspiring lecturer with a passion for supporting adult learners to achieve their potential. Confident in delivering employability and aviation programmes, you understand the unique challenges adult learners face and are committed to helping them gain the skills they need to success.

You will have:

Experience teaching or training adults, ideally in employability, aviation or a related vocational area.
Strong knowledge of Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications and an ability to tailor learning to individual needs and goals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse adult learners.
A recognised teaching qualification (or a willingness to work towards one).
Experience designing and delivering engagement practical lessons that link directly to workplace skills and outcomes.
A flexible and responsive approach, able to deliver evening classes and adapt to different learning styles and paces.
