Are you an experienced and dynamic Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking for your next position?We are currently looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the team within our South East Pave project of works. Within this role you will be responsible for the commercial management of individual construction projects, ranging in complexity and value.Main ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Senior Area Quantity Surveyor, duties and responsibilities of theAssistant Quantity Surveyor will include:Preparing and agreeing interim valuations and final accounts with clients and subcontractorsRecording, monitoring, and reviewing the financial performance of contractsManaging financial accountsReporting project performance internally (senior managers) and externally (clients)Securing payments from clients within the specified contract termsSubcontract procurement and management of subcontractor accountsPre-contract pricing and agreement of project costsThe Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate for the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor will currently be working towards a degree in Quantity Surveying. We also welcome applications from candidates who are currently undertaking further or higher education courses and would like a full time role that will also support you whilst you continue your studies on a day release basis.Suitable candidates for the role ofAssistant Quantity Surveyorwill also possess:Demonstrable interpersonal and problem-solving skillsConfident numeracy and analytical abilityDrive and ambition to succeedConfidence to work autonomously and as part of a teamStrong organisational abilityStrong ability to build successful relationshipsConfident IT skills specifically Excel, databases and the ability to adapt to bespoke software packagesThis is a regional role and a company vehicle is provided so suitable candidates must possess FULL UK manual car driving licence with no more than 6 points.
