We are currently looking for a Shift Maintenance Fitter to join our team in Alfreton. The shift patterns will vary from days: 6am – 6pm and nights: 6pm – 6am.We’re working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it is important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.Main ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Maintenance Fitter you will be responsible for:Day-to-day maintenance activities which include planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production machineryMeeting statuary and SHE standards as a minimumThis is a day-work role, working on a variety of plant throughout the block manufacturing site as directed on a planned or reactive basisYou will be required to record all work on the site CMMS systemThis is a dynamic role, mostly self-motivated and self-supervised with good communication skillsThe Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate for the role of Maintenance Fitter you will have experience of:IOSH training will be an advantage.Experience of maintaining/replacement of mechanical parts including bearings, shafts, rollers.Skilled with hand tools, bearing presses and fitting toolsExperience in a manufacturing or heavy industry environmentExperience in maintaining and repair of mechanical equipmentExperience in welding and/or pipefitting would be advantageousThe role is based at our Blocks site in Alfreton, Derbyshire. The site is easily accessible from Nottingham, Derby, Somercotes, Ripley, South Wingfield, Stonebroom, Sutton-In-Ashfield, Underwood, South Normanton, Matlock, Mansfield, Hucknall and the surrounding areas.At Tarmac, ‘who you are’ matters.
