We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as a Senior Manager, Business Development (Concerts, Events and Match Breaks). You will be responsible for maximising the sales revenue across Concerts, Events and Football Match Breaks. Supporting the Director, Venue Sales and Account Management with all commercial aspects, including recruitment, negotiation, sales and key P&L responsibilities within these areas.What will you be doing?Concerts and EventsTo support the Director, Venue Sales and Account Management with the recruitment of concerts and major events to Anfield.Manage existing and develop new LFC and other commercial events at Anfield or other locations.In partnership with the Director, Venue Sales and Account Management project manage all commercial aspects of the concerts and events & support with key commercial development projects, ensuring key deadlines and KPI’s are met.To be the main promoter liaison for commercial areas of the club, as the “go to” between LFC departments and the promoters.Supporting the Director, Venue Sales and Account Management in managing the P&L within budget for all Events and Match Breaks. Manage secondary revenue streams, such as advertising and merchandising to add incremental revenue to the club.Manage venue pre-sales, on-sales and on-going sales, producing reports for key departments and promoters.Undertake regular sales / commercial research and competitor analysis.Manage all internal stakeholder relationships for LFC commercial events & provide support to the Ticketing, Hospitality & Operational departments for LFC commercial events.Liaise with relevant internal departments once the sale has been made, to ensure a smooth journey at all times – ticketing, hospitality, marketing, VIP, customer experience, events, operations. legal and finance.Support internal departments with the sales and marketing strategy & support ticketing and hospitality manifests and systems.Match Breaks and AgentsManage the day to day requirements with match break partners, including match day procedures.Develop relationships with key match break partners.Manage the recruitment and / or renewals process with math break partners.Deliver robust and transparent tender processes that provide a trusted network of agents and maximize commercial revenues.Forge profitable relationships with key suppliers in both UK and overseas markets that maximise yield.Set out a compliance framework for agent’s using Club IP and assets, prevent and close down the abuse of the Club’s IP by unofficial agents.Who are we looking for?To be successful in this role, you will have strong, proven experience in a senior commercial role gained within entertainment and / or sport with a strong level of concert and major event industry awareness. You will have experience of working with concerts and strong knowledge of the hospitality and events areas of the business. You will have previous experience of working with football match break agents and sound financial knowledge. It is important, you can effectively negotiate with and influence colleagues and/or clients to achieve a successful outcome. You will have knowledge of ticketing systems, processes and manifests. You will also have experience of managing and leading a team.The right candidate will have a proven track record of sales negotiation and persuasive selling skills, ideally gained in hospitality and events. You will be able to manage budgets, drive commercial strategy and create a clear pricing strategy that delivers maximum margin, whilst remaining competitive. You will have knowledge of multiple systems required to sells such as SeatGeek and Salesforce. You will have excellent presentation skills in order to pitch effectively and gain results.Why should you apply?This is a full-time perm position working35hours per week.
