We are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to lead and support bid-writing and other initiatives to drive the development of the organisation through effective tendering for new contracts and grants. Sitting in Hestia's Integrated Business Development Team, responsibilities will include playing a key role in the writing of successful bids that directly feed into our ambitious growth targets and enable us to extend our reach to more individuals in crisis.Leading & supporting the creation of high-quality bids and funding applications, writing technical questions and method statements.Supporting with the completion of Selection Questionnaires during the ITT processSupporting the administrative com
ponents of the tendering process.Conducting research into topics relevant to the Business Development Team's growth strategy.Build and maintain networks with local health & social care partners.Stay informed about procurement practices and commissioning trends in London and nationally.Contribute to the shaping of Hestia's development strategy by identifying growth opportunities.Evaluate bids to improve future submissions and seek feedback on both successful and unsuccessful proposals.Attend meetings with Commissioners to foster relationships.Support the re-development of existing services to secure additional funding and/or efficiencies.Identify potential partnerships and consortia to explore alternative service delivery methods.Support the retention of services by contributing to operational improvement initiatives.Support the administrative functions of the Business Development Team including the maintenance of the Contracts Database.Act as an ambassador for Hestia, representing the organisation's interests with stakeholders.Here's what the team will be looking for:Experience of writing persuasive, well-communicated content.Experience of working in a team, providing appropriate professional technical advice and expertise to support projects from inception to completion.Strong communication, written and presentation skills.Forward thinking and problem-solving skills.Ability to conduct research to identify income opportunitiesAbility to build and maintain relationships & networks with health & social care partners.Knowledge of the Adult Social Care sector, models of support and funding initiativesAbility to seek constructive feedback from commissioners on both successful and unsuccessful proposals.Ability to work cohesively with senior internal & external partners, displaying confidence, and gaining trust.Interview StepsWe keep our interview process simple, so you know exactly what to expect.Shortlisting call: We have a team of dedicated recruitment specialists who will speak to you about your experience, motivations and values.
