We are currently looking for a Environmental Permit and Compliance Manager to join our friendly team based in the East Midlands.The successful candidate will be based in Quorn, Leicestershire, however, you will have the opportunity to work remotely.As the successful Environmental Permit and Compliance Manageryou will work in a small friendly team within the Land and Natural Resources (L&NR) function supporting the business on a diverse range of projects to obtain permits and licences for land, air and water for our quarries, concrete, asphalt and block plants.On a day to day basis the Environmental Permit and Compliance Manager responsibilities will include:Provide technical advice on the permits and licences required for new and existing operations in collaboration with the Operational, Strategic Planning and Circularity teamsManagement and delivery of a wide variety of permits and licences applicationsIdentifying changes to regulations and guidance that require new permits, or impact on our existing permits and advise the business on actions required to become complaintProviding expert advice to the business relating to technical issues relating to permit conditions, or associated environmental legislationBuild and manage relationships with the regulatorsIdeally the successful candidate for Environmental Permit and Compliance Manager will have:Good communication skillsBe a self-starterStrong project management skillsStrong collaboration skillsA relevant degree in an environmental or science related fieldPractical experience in:Managing permit applications and liaising with the Environment Agency and other regulatorsKnowledge of environmental legislation including the Environmental Permitting Regulations, guidance, practices and proceduresMinerals, waste or water sectorWhy us:In addition to the role of Permit Manager, we offer an extensive range of career development opportunities and industry-leading rewards, incentives and benefits:Contributory pension scheme Access to the Tarmac Reward website with discounts on retailers, holidays, etc.  Access to our Employee Assistance helpline for free and confidential advice  Access to join our Employee Communities (employee networks) we currently have nine communities inc.
