About the Role:As Business Intelligence Lead, you’ll be at the forefront of transforming how Phoenix UK uses data to drive insight and decision-making.Leading a skilled team of BI Developers, you’ll shape and deliver our BI strategy, ensuring data is accessible, impactful, and aligned to the needs of teams across the organisation. You’ll champion the development of scalable BI solutions and data products that bring clarity, consistency, and value to the business.As a key member of the data leadership team, you’ll promote best practices, lead by example, and help embed a truly data-driven culture across Phoenix UK. This role demands a strong blend of commercial acumen, technical expertise, and the ability to engage and influence executive-level stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:Own and develop our Business Intelligence capability, aligning it with our broader Data, Analytics & Insight strategy.Lead the development of a industry leading reporting and insight platform for 3rd party organisations we partner with (manufacturers, customers, partners).Oversee the development and maintenance of our Microsoft Fabric reporting platform.Lead the development of self-serve analytics tools for our colleagues, enabling teams to access and utilise data effectively, whilst maintaining a single source of truth.Partner with teams across the company to define and meet reporting and analytics needs.Act as a trusted advisor to leaders, ensuring BI solutions support strategic initiatives and drive growth.Utilise the Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) to improve processes across the business and remove legacy systems (MS Access).Lead, mentor, and grow a team of BI developers.Support the development of the Phoenix DA&I strategy as a senior member of the team. What We’re Looking For:Proven leadership experience in Business Intelligence or Analytics, ideally within a large, fast-paced organisation.Deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, including report creation, advanced DAX, M scripting, and data modelling.Hands-on experience delivering impactful data products using the Microsoft Power Platform, with a strong focus on business value.Experience leading a reporting platform migration to Fabric / Power BI.Strong technical skills in SQL, data modelling, dashboard development, and data visualisation.Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for all audiences.Excellent project management and prioritisation skills, with a track record of aligning BI initiatives to strategic business goals.
