This role will work specifically at the from door ensuring that we provide a prompt and robust decision making to keep people safe. The Assistant Team Manager will ensure that there is a consistent approach to managing the demand from safeguarding referrals, identifying themes and trends, working with partners to ensure that we receive good quality referrals that are appropriate for safeguarding action.About youThe role is challenging as you will need to be able to manage the fluctuating demands from the front door in numbers and complexity of concerns, be able to make decisions effectively and responsively on safeguarding issues and identify the pathway that will mitigate or reduce the risks that people are facing from potential abuse and/or neglect.You should be able to identify themes and be able to challenge partners to ensure the best outcomes are delivered for safeguarding adults.Level 5 leadership/management qualification or willingness to work towards it.Educated to a degree level in health and social care or related field or equivalent experience.Supervision/mentoring./coaching/training staff, preferably within a health and social care setting.Providing effective leadership, support and modelling engagement in the most challenging of circumstances, including with partner agencies, stakeholders and other professionals. Significant knowledge and understanding of the Care Act 2014; including awareness of current national policy drivers, legislation, affecting adult social care. E.g.
