Unique rolesWe are seeking a highly motivated Assistant QS (Change Management Coordinator)to support construction and infrastructure projects atMerville Barracks, Colchester. The role involves assisting in cost estimation, contract administration, and financial reporting to ensure Change Projects are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have experience in quantity surveying, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail.Key Responsibilities:Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports (Change Reports & Change Orders) for construction and infrastructure projects.Monitor project costs and prepare cost forecasts.Procurement & Contract Administration:Assist in preparing tender documents, contracts, and procurement schedule.Support contract negotiations and manage subcontract agreements.Review & verify contractor claims and variations.Project Financial Control:Track project expenditures and ensure alignment with project budget allocations.Prepare interim valuations, draft final accounts, monthly progress reports, and cash flow forecasts.Assist in risk assessment and value engineering processes.Compliance & Reporting:Ensure adherence to the site's security requirements and Sodexo health & safety standards.Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with Sodexo’s policies and procedures.Prepare reports for the Commercial Manager, Project Managers, and key stakeholders.
