Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Head of Land you will:
* Identify and assess potential land opportunities for large-scale solar, wind, BESS, and hydrogen projects
* Secure land for grid connection applications in collaboration with internal teams
* Build and maintain relationships with landowners, agents, and key stakeholders
* Negotiate land rights agreements, including leases and easements
* Provide support on land-related matters to the development team
* Present new opportunities to senior leadership and the investment committee
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* At least 5 years of experience in a land acquisition or property-focused role, preferably within the renewable energy sector
* Demonstrated success in securing land rights and developing strong relationships with landowners and stakeholders
* Solid understanding of UK planning policy and its influence on renewable energy development
* Knowledge of distribution and transmission networks and their role in energy projects
* Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively
* Self-motivated, organised, and capable of working independently to meet targets and deadlines
* RICS accreditation (preferred but not mandatory)
