Healthy outcomes start with positive patient experiences.As a Adhoc Porter at Sodexo in Royal Stoke Hospital, Newcastle Road, Stoke-On-Trent ST4 6QG, you play a key role in the daily running of the hospital, ensuring the safe transportation of patients, as well as equipment, blood products, and gas cylinders. You can also ease some of the stress that is frequently associated with hospitalisation by engaging in professional yet friendly conversations with patients, staff, and visitors. You belong in a team where you can act with purpose and thrive in your own way. What you’ll do: Direct patients, staff, and visitors to hospital areas.Provide waste collection and recycling while minimizing health and safety risks.Comply with relevant management systems and policies.Safely transfer patients to and from wards using appropriate means.Convey specimens/samples safely between wards and departments. Remove waste in line with trust policy and legislation. Transfer blood products and maintain dignity when transferring deceased patients. Provide postal services, pharmacy deliveries, and ad hoc transport of medical     records, stock, and furniture.What you bring: Have the ability to walk for long stretches of timeUnderstanding of Health and SafetyAbility to work under pressureBe able to work as part of a teamTo act on their own initiative and adapt quickly to changeUnderstanding of confidentiality constraints and sensitivitiesUnderstanding of Customer CareAbility to listen and have good communication skillsAdaptable and self-motivated Emotional ResilienceWhat we offer:Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it’s a chanceto be part of something greater.
