Across the Group, we want to create an environment where everyone feels at home.What you'll be doingThink CustomerEnsure cycle counts and stock takes are being conducted in line with targets and to meet requirements of internal and external audit teams.Maintenance of all product data within the warehouse on WMS (Warehouse Management System) and Stockwise ensuring stock is aligned to the master data file in Author and Fluent.Carry out investigations as instructed by the Inventory Manager to ensure an accurate stock file is maintained within the Distribution CentreEnsure all IBTs and stock transfers are completed accurately and in a timely mannerAim HighDeliver the shift plan in line with defined targets set out by the Senior Leadership Team in the DCEnsure warehouse systems are maintained accurately to ensure an efficient DC operationMonitor productivity performance and agreed KPIs with the DC Management team and ensure targets are met or exceededProduce accurate reports on all stock movements and balances, including goods in, goods out, returns, and manual replenishments/picksUpkeep all manual records of stock not held in WMS or StockwiseIdentify opportunities to maximise space and optimising pick locations Be RealWork with the operations team (Inbound, outbound and Returns) to ensure all Inventory procedures are followed to reduce stock loss and stock inaccuracy. Help to develop a culture where data is used to make decisions Identify where processes in inbound and outbound within the DC have not been followed to enable the appropriate teams to rectify issues and retrain colleaguesProvide feedback to managers on issues impacting stock management and system usage.Liaise directly with Senior Managers, Finance team, Buying & merchandising team, QC and suppliers in relation to standard operating procedures and processes for stock management and systems maintenance.The role is for you if...Ability to lead teams from the frontStrong operational knowledge including understanding of Warehouse Management Systems and stock management toolsConfident in the gathering, cleansing & summarising of data for presentation in numerical, graphical or report formats.An eye for detail is required to identify where processes have not been adhered toStrong computer literacy: Microsoft Suite/Google (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)Excellent verbal and written communication skills to write reports and produce statistics on stock lossAbility to challenge others on their methods of working and manage process adherenceAbility to effectively communicate issues and direction to colleagues and senior stakeholders.Basic understanding of and a willingness to learn and adopt professional and industry standards.The Sofa Delivery Company BenefitsWe believe in rewarding hard work and making every day enjoyable.
