Your role is pivotal in analysing product performance to drive our Stores and Online platforms towards achieving sales, margin, and inventory targets. Your responsibilities include generating insightful management information for informed decision-making and contributing to setting ambitious yet achievable business plans to fulfil our goals.Based at Junction 41 in Wakefield, with free parking and a flexible, hybrid way of working, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in our team. Colleagues are required to work in the office for a minimum of 1-2 days per week, with the expectation of additional attendance when needed. Ensuring visibility and understanding of accurate financial and non-financial KPIs daily, weekly and monthly. KPIs include sales value and volumes, price, margin, space across our Card and Non-Card products, postage or fulfilment costs Developing the reporting information available by the business via our automated BI platformSupporting the Finance Business Partner to produce financial forecasts and budgets that deliver the business strategyWorking closely with the Commercial team to capture and review inputs, risks and opportunitiesResponsibility for providing accurate information to stakeholders at month end and on an ad hoc basisPerforming variance analysis of sales, gross profit and stock to help the business learn from past actions and identify new opportunitiesMonitoring and analysing trial performance, working with project teams to understand the commercial performanceSupporting the Finance Business Partner with preparing financial reviews and analysis to support decision-making Previous experience as a Finance Analyst or similar role.Intellectual curiosity to understand the financial and non-financial drivers of the business and their implications Proven and demonstrable ability to build productive business relationships with a wide network of finance and non-finance colleagues, and manage workload according to priorities Excellent verbal and written communication styles and confidence to influence a variety of senior stakeholders Desire to bring insight and challenge to the business through the use of data to improve revenue and profitability Excellent analytical and Excel skills, and a desire to proactively adopt and use business insight platforms such as Power BI
