We’re working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.You'll work within a busy environment playing a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious sales and customer service targets mainly through telephone communication, identifying upstream lead generation.Reporting directly to the Customer Services Manager you will be responsible for:Raising and pricing quotes processing to order conversion or query resolution as timely and effectively as possibleConverting enquiries into orders at the best possible contribution to maximise profitability within approved pricing levelsKeep updated with the product range and develop in-depth knowledge of the Tarmac RMX and Minimix offeringsRegularly reviewing customer account and generate opportunities to manage the RMX and Minimix business pipelineBe aware of expected KPIs and strive to exceed call and performance indicatorsPromote Value Added Products with new and existing customers, which contributes to the wider business unit goalsContinually focus on improving OTIFIC [on time in full invoiced correctly] performanceTo be successful in this role the ideal candidate will have experience within a similar role and ideally a similar industry. They will also:Qualification:No formal sales qualifications required however Maths and English secondary school education is expectedAbility to effectively operate a varied range of IT systemsExperience:Proficient use of the system and ability to demonstrate a consistent professional style and approachExperience in a fast-paced Sales or Customer Service roleSkills / Knowledge:Able to create rapport through considered questioning and accurate active listeningAbility to multi-task, prioritise, and self manage time effectivelyAble to build relationships and trust through providing solutions to the customer’s needs by explorative interactionAble to handle situations in a positive manner where conflict exists, escalating where necessary
