Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a global leader in the industrial gearbox servicing sector to recruit a Business Manager.
The Business Manager position comes with a salary of �50,000 + Bonus + Vehicle, this role involves leading the UK couplings strategy, developing new business opportunities, building key customer relationships, and driving market growth within the power generation and industrial sectors.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the UK Director you will:
* Define and execute the UK strategy for couplings, aligning with business objectives and providing HQ with performance insights.
* Proactively identify and assess new applications in the power generation sector, documenting industry needs and shaping product positioning.
* Establish and nurture key customer relationships, taking full ownership of a customer-focused sales strategy to enhance engagement across regions.
* Represent the company at industry events, staying ahead of trends and independently developing new business opportunities.
* Lead collaboration with HQ and regional sales teams, ensuring a consistent and strategic approach to customer engagement and market expansion.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* Strong background in the power generation, renewables, or heavy industry sectors.
* HNC in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related technical field (desirable)
* Experience in business development, sales, or market strategy within the industrial or mechanical engineering sector.
* Understanding of mechanical power transmission and how couplings integrate into rotating equipment

The Business Manager position would suit someone who is:
* Communication & Negotiation, excellent interpersonal, presentation, and persuasion skills
* Strong time management skills, ability to manage multiple initiatives, meet deadlines, and drive cross-functional collaboration.
