Are you passionate about making a difference in students' lives? Do you thrive in a dynamic team environment? Are you ready to take your teaching experience to the next level? We are currently looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our busy team in Cambridge and Chelmsford!

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with students, Academic Teaching Staff, and Faculty Leads to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include serving as a point of contact for students requiring adjustments, managing assessments, providing focused support, and ensuring compliance with university policies. You will engage in teamwork across various departments, contribute to curriculum development, and actively participate in academic-related meetings to enhance student outcomes.

Hours of Work: Flexible options are available, from full-time to part-time or term-time, with working hours from 9 am to 3 pm during teaching weeks.

Higher Level Teaching Assistant Requirements:

Essential:

* HLTA qualification or five years' experience at working as a senior Teaching Assistance and willing to undertake the qualification.
* Demonstratable understanding of the key factors that affect student's learning and progress.
* Excellent communication skills
* Understanding of the objectives, content and intended outcomes of learning activities they are involved.?
* Know how to support learners in accessing the curriculum in accordance with SEND and equalities legislation.
* Commitment to using their areas of expertise to contribute to planning and preparation of learning.
* Devise clearly structured activities that interest and motivate learners and advance their learning.
* Contribute to maintain and analysing records of learners' progress.
* Recognise and respond appropriately to situations that challenge equality of opportunity.
* Plan the support for the inclusion of identified learners within learning activities.
* Ability to work flexibly and adaptably to meet the changing needs of the organisation.

Desirable:

* Experience in teaching in a variety of settings to include schools
