This is an exciting opportunity for a Breathing Air Technician to join our growing ESS team and support our expanding servicing function. This role is ideal for someone with some experience in making equipment ready for hire or a willingness to learnAs part of our team, you will work on a variety of safety, survey, communications, and electrical testing equipment, ensuring they are prepared for hire in a cost-effective and efficient manner. There is no expectation for Technicians at this level to carry out complex servicing or repairs, but you will play a key role in ensuring that equipment is correctly tested and fit for use.Key ResponsibilitiesTest and run breathing air safety equipment in line with OEM requirements.Assess whether equipment can be made available for hire in a cost-effective way.Fleet new equipment and complete pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on saleable items.Accurately record servicing activity and spare part usage in internal software systems.Identify equipment that cannot be serviced or repaired in-house and follow correct procedures.Estimate time required to complete test and run activity.Ensure all serviced equipment is correctly recorded and updated in the system status.When considered necessary or appropriate by the company, you may be required to carry out other duties within your skill and competence to support the smooth running of the business.What We’re Looking ForBasic maths and English skills.Strong timekeeping and ability to meet deadlines.A driving licence with towing ability (Beneficial)Previous experience in basic test and run of equipment.
