We are excited to announce the launch of our new Leicestershire and Rutland Sexual Health Service and are looking for a part-time (19 hours per week) Strategic Lead to join our team starting April 1, 2025.The Leicestershire and Rutland Sexual Health Hub are advertising this newly created role that will be a critical function for developing and embedding the strategic development, engagement and partnerships to ensure that sexual health needs of the community are met. Working closely with Leicestershire and Rutland stakeholders the post holder will be responsible for seeking out and   developing opportunities for collaboration, creation of pathways and driving engagement and communication across the   wide geographical area. The key priority areas within the role include working with patients and partners, particularly closely  in areas who may have increased unmet sexual health needs and may be at  higher risk and hard-to-reach including  some black and minority ethnic groups, young people, lesbian, gay, bi sexual, trans and queer (GBTQ+) groups, substance misusers, sex workers, victims of domestic and/or sexual violence/exploitation, people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, learning difficulties and Autism, homeless, newly arrived/displaced (including asylum seekers and refugees). The post holder will work closely with the hub team and outreach team to ensure cohesion and will develop a clear joined up strategic plan and engagement plan in collaboration with teams that is data driven and evidenced based and aligns and supports to local information and intelligence within the   local Joint Needs Assessment and Health Protection Strategy and is supportive of any other local health promotion initiatives and/or projects including condom distribution. The post holder will hold Line Management responsibilities for the Strategic Support Officer.If you think that you have the passion and drive to fulfil this exciting role it would be great to hear from you. Including driving the transformation of the sexual health system over the lifetime of the contract.   Working collaboratively with Public Health teams and Commissioners  to ensure alignment with the Health Protection Strategy and other health promotion initiatives.Identifying and engaging with stakeholders across health, social care, and the voluntary sector to drive improvements in sexual health outcomes, reduce inequalities and building relationships. Line management for the GP and Pharmacy Lead and Condom Distribution Officer:Strategic Support Officer: Ensuring the post holder is performing in their role to significantly improves the volume of dispensations: maintaining the training requirements and professional conversation regarding healthy relationships, consent and safeguarding needed with young. Ensure regular meetings for any subcontracted services, i.e Non-Clinical Outreach provider to oversee the delivery of clinical requirements and appropriate governance arrangements are in place.Identifying and addressing the needs of hard-to-reach groups and areas with high levels of sexual health issues.Please see job description for for list of responsibilities. The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidates will have:Public Health Qualification or relevant experienceExperience in sexual health and outreach service deliveryClear understanding of the current contract and the contractual requirementsClear understanding of integrated and multidisciplinary working, and leadership skillsAble to analyse and interpret public health and local data and communicate findings to others in a relevant wayEvidence of professional developmentEvidence of leadership and managementLine management experienceWhile not essential having the below is desirable: Registered General Nurse/Social Worker/relevant rolePost Graduate training in a relevant fieldLeadership/management qualification/ trainingStrategic management/experience qualification/training/experiencePost holder must hold a current UK driving license and have access to a car on a daily basis for transportation to clinic bases, meetings, events both locally and nationally.
