Landmarc Support Services is looking for a motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our team, overseeing key operations on the Defence Training Estate. This role is integral to maintaining the estate’s functionality and safety, ensuring military personnel can train effectively.As a Team Leader, you will manage a team of Training Area Operatives, with a specific focus on leading the Range Towers Team. Please note some emails may arrive in your junk mail folderMain ResponsibilitiesLine manage and support the Range Towers Team, ensuring safe and effective operations during live firing exercises.Actively participate in hands-on tasks—approximately 80% of your time will be spent working alongside your team.Monitor live firing activities from the tower, ensuring compliance with strict safety protocolsOversee the operation and maintenance of range targetry systems, supporting visiting military unitConduct preventative, planned, and reactive maintenance to keep the estate operationalMaintain stock levels and ensure essential equipment is availableOperate fleet vehicles and plant machinery as requiredEnsure all safety regulations and operational procedures are followed at all timesMaintain accurate records and documentation using IT and paper-based systemsPerform additional duties as required to support the overall success of the teamThe Ideal CandidateExperience in range operations, range tower duties, or a similar safety-critical roleExcellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levelsStrong knowledge of Health & Safety protocols, including COSHH, manual handling, and risk assessmentsFamiliarity with estate services, grounds maintenance, and plant machinery operationsIT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and database managementAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentA proactive approach to learning, with a willingness to undertake further trainingA valid UK manual driving licence is essential for this role Why Join Us?At Landmarc, we pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative, people-first culture.
