We handle user queries, application incidents and improve the performance of our wider service through system developments and process improvements.What is the job role?An opportunity has arisen in the Business Systems (Adults) Team. This is a fast-paced working environment, incorporating a wide variety of skills. This is an exciting time to join us, as we move towards implementing a new system to meet our statutory responsibilities in delivering outstanding service to Coventry's citizens.You will work closely with colleagues across Adult Services, ICT and Performance and will deputise for the Business Systems Manager. You will provide expert support to the users of our main business systems to ensure good quality and timely record-keeping and effective use of corporate financial and physical resources.You will lead on the development of systems, users and processes to ensure the systems are up-to-date, relevant and supportive of the work and priorities of Adult Social Care, its staff and customers. As part of this role, you will have responsibility for providing first line support relating to the system's financial processing functions.You will have the opportunity to develop skills in line management, systems and project management, using data analysis to inform developments.Who are we looking for?Someone who can:Lead Business Systems functions including support desk, projects and direct the activities and priorities of staff to meet varied and multiple objectives within identified timescales.Plan the development and extension of current application use across the Directorate to ensure that use of unsupported systems is minimised, and data is appropriately managed.
