Head of Finance – Transformation & ProjectsSalary £85,000 to £100,000 depending on experience   6 - 9 months FTC Hybrid / Home and London / Folkestone  Saga is entering into some innovative transformational changes across the Finance Functions; Workday is going live from the summer of 2025 and AICL our insurance underwriting business is soon to move to Ageas, as already agreed. This means we need a Head of Finance to join us to help manage the impact of change and innovation taking place across our matrix finance teams.  We need a Head of Finance that is a credible leader and has previous experience of seeing business critical projects through to completion within a large, regulated business model. You will need to make an immediate impact on joining us and be able to start as early as the end of March, beginning of April!In this new role, you’ll be working closely with our Group CFO and Group FC having full involvement on the changes and new strategy across the business, ensuring all deliverables are timely met and within budget.    Working as our Head of Finance – Group Transformation & Projects, you will be a key member of the finance team. Acting as the Business Partner for key transformation projects across Travel, Insurance and Group Functions. Ensuring Saga enters a more efficient and effective structure and can begin to start planning and executing business initiatives, with a particular focus on new business lines for the future. You will have already supported on large scale operational change and managed and led complex finance teams. You will also demonstrate the following skills and experience:Degree level educated, preferably in Economics or other financial areaMinimum 4+ years’ experience in FP&A, or a similar finance related discipline, with a track record of strong results in finance, business development, strategy, and/or management consultingExperience of driving a transformation in a complex GroupStrong skill set in business operations modelling and analysis including financial statements, expense management, ROI, etc.Exceptional Excel skills and ideally have previously used Project Management tools to initiate, manage and monitor the development, implementation and execution of the strategyThrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detailAble to multi-task and manage multiple projects at one timeStrong communication and organisational skills – be comfortable with business partnering and seen as the go to project ownerDesirable;Has previously worked on TM1 or Workday.Saga Values: Make it Happen, Do the Right Thing, Customer First, Excellence Every Day,Our People Make Us Special About The CompanyOver the past 70 years we have become the UK's specialist provider of products and services to people aged over 50 in the UK.
