If so, we want to hear from you! We are currently looking for an EAP/Academic Literacy and Skills Teacher to join our busy team in the vibrant setting of the University of Twente!
In this dynamic role, you will dedicate approximately half of your working week to conducting engaging ALS lectures and interactive seminars. You will instruct students in a specific stream and focus on smaller classes of up to 25 students. Your responsibilities will include creating content for project courses, guiding students as they tackle real-life problems, grading assessments, and collaborating with the ALS coordinator and Head of Learning and Teaching to ensure high-quality instruction. You will also support students one-on-one, help develop assessment material, and participate in training workshops.
Hours of Work: 24 hours per week
EAP/Academic Literacy and Skills Teacher Requirements:
Essential:
* Minimum qualifications in the relevant studies (e.g. Bachelor and/or Masters)
* Minimum 3 years English/Academic skills teaching experience
* Good organisational and IT skills
Desirable:
* A recognised English teaching qualification, e.g. CELTA, Trinity TESOL
* TEFLQ teaching qualification, e.g. DELTA, MA TESOL
* Experience teaching multi-national student groups
* Experience in using Moodle or other online educational portals
* The following characteristics: enthusiastic, independent, communicative, and organized
* Knowledge of educational practices in the Netherlands
