Windsor Forest Colleges group is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join our Sport, Outdoor Education and Protective Services team at Berkshire College of Agriculture on a Term Time Only Contract working on a Full-Time basis.Learning Support AssistantThis Learning Support Assistant (LSA) role at Berkshire College of Agriculture Campus is integral for aiding students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to fully engage with and benefit from the curriculum. You will be supporting a large number of EHCP students in accessing courses on Sport, Outdoor Education and Protective Services across a variety of qualification courses.The primary purpose of a Learning Support Assistant is to facilitate students' participation in all college activities and support them in achieving their educational and personal goals. This involves working under the supervision of the Lecturers and Curriculum Leads to assist in various educational activities tailored to individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP).You will engage in a full range of support for students including supporting whole classes, engaging with individual students or small groups, assisting in the planning and delivery of lessons, and collaborating with pastoral staff to help students overcome various barriers to learning.Key requirements for the successful Learning Support Assistant include a proactive and adaptable attitude, the ability to develop positive relationships with students and staff, and flexibility to work across different departments.Experience working with young adults, particularly in an educational setting, is highly desirable.The Learning Support Assistant is expected to support students in diverse ways such as facilitating the use of ICT for learning, monitoring student progress, promoting positive behaviour, and assisting with educational visits.
