A Day in the Life of an Oncology Pharmacist:
Join our clients team as an Oncology Pharmacist in an NHS hospital, where you will play a crucial role in supporting oncology and chemotherapy services . Your core responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and verifying oncology and chemotherapy prescriptions. - Providing expert pharmaceutical advice to oncology teams. - Ensuring safe and effective use of chemotherapy and cancer treatments. - Educating patients on oncology medications and managing side effects. - Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient care. - Maintaining accurate records and staying up to date with oncology best practices.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Current and valid GPhC registration - Hospital experience is not required - The team is happy to train community-experienced pharmacists! - Interest in or experience with oncology and chemotherapy medications - Strong communication and teamwork skills - Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care~
Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This role is based on-site in Northampton and requires availability Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM . The contract is ongoing , with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
