An opportunity is available for a Team Support within the Secondary Network Design Team based at either Bristol, Cardiff, Tipton or Castle Donington.Reporting to the Secondary Network Design Manager within the Distribution Network Operator, you will be responsible for providing assistance to the Secondary Network Design Teams. Working closely with the Network Design Team and the Project Delivery and Site Planning Team for ahead of need reinforcement. The Secondary Network Design Team are responsible for the design, consenting and delivery planning of the RIIO ED2 load related reinforcement schemes that have been identified by DSO across all four license areas. The team will work closely with the Secondary System Planning Team (DSO), who are responsible for the analysis of NGED’s HV and LV Distribution System and will identify and prioritise the areas of secondary investment. Process invoices on E5.Manage activity prompts within Crown.Raised capital sanction documentation. Prepare plans, schematics, wayleaves, notices, materials schedules for all projects and work instructions.Assist with general team duties as required.Update records. Alter short term programme to meet changes in circumstance within constraints. Produce scheme files. Attend meetings and take minutes as required.Issue work to contractors and approve daily work sheets. Carry out quality and compliance checks on contractors’ works.Speak on behalf of oneself and the Company at the individual level.The Ideal CandidateYou should have an analytical mind, with a methodical approach to problem solving and have the ability to present information in a clear and reasoned way.You must be able to communicate effectively both verbally, and in writing, with customers and other team members and must be able to represent the company positively at all times.You must be reliable, well organised and be able to work as part of a small team and you must be able to work using your own initiative. Possession of basic keyboard skills is desirable and full training will be given on the applications used.National Grid Electricity Distribution is committed to safeguarding the interests of the Company, colleagues and customers.
