A key strategic priority for the Council is to therefore keep residents safe and tackle poor housing conditions. The Council currently responds to complaints in the Private Rented Sector and implements the Mandatory and Additional HMO licensing schemes to deal with issues caused by the poor management of privately rented HMO properties. You will be working under the general direction of the Head of Safer and Communities delivering key services to landlords, tenants, and residents in the city.  You will be responsible for the day to day management of the Safer Housing Team, providing leadership, motivation and supervision to the team; and will deputise where necessary for the Head of Safer Housing and Communities. The full list of duties and responsibilities are in the Job description attached.  Who are we looking for?We want you to have extensive, substantial knowledge and understanding of managing a team delivering the regulation of housing standards across the city of Coventry. You will lead our efforts in ensuring the highest standards of housing quality and compliance, guiding the team to deliver exceptional services to our residents and landlords.  You will need to demonstrate that you have supervisory/ management skills to manage, motivate and develop a team to achieve business goals.
