Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will:
* Lead and manage a team of Energy Centre Engineers, ensuring high performance and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
* Oversee all operations and maintenance activities, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient running of energy centre assets.
* Provide visible leadership in health and safety, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
* Develop and implement long-term operational strategies to optimise performance and asset reliability.
* Manage maintenance contracts, ensuring all planned and reactive maintenance activities are delivered effectively.
* Control operational budgets and drive cost efficiency across the sites.
* Conduct risk assessments and ensure technical governance and compliance.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* ONC (Ordinary National Certificate) or equivalent qualification in engineering, or significant relevant experience.
* IOSH or equivalent safety qualification.
* Authorised Engineer status.
* Strong knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk management.
* Understanding of the commercial impact of operations and maintenance activities.
