Register your interest here: https://forms.office.com/e/Pe0hATsE4L What’s in it for you as a Graduate Engineer?Here at Last Mile, we pride ourselves in providing a great range of benefits including a fantastic amount of annual leave, including a Christmas shut down.25 days holiday, increasing after 2 years by 1 day each year up to 30 days, plus 9 public holidaysHoliday buy schemeDiscretionary bonusEV and ULEV salary sacrifice scheme (subject to minimum length of service)Cycle to work salary sacrifice schemeUp to 7% employer pension contributionLife assurance (x4 annual basic salary)Refer a friend incentiveWagestreamEmployee assistance programmeHybrid working for eligible roles (3 days in the office, 2 from home) *Flexible start and finish times for eligible roles*Private medical insurance*Company sick pay**Some of our benefits are only applicable when you have successfully completed your probation period* Your responsibilities as a Graduate Engineer:Electrical, Gas or Water Design DepartmentTo support Electrical, Gas or Water Design & Planning Engineers and to undertake the following:Design & Planning – Interpret client requirements, create connection schemes, and produce effective plans and schematic drawings.Project Management – Manage a portfolio of design work, ensuring timely delivery within budget while maintaining compliance with CDM regulations.Technical Collaboration – Liaise with DNOs, ensure designs meet industry standards, and support the Construction Department on technical and planning matters.Software & Compliance – Use relevant design software to produce detailed project designs while adhering to engineering directives and regulatory standards.Change Control/Estimating Department:To support Estimating Engineers and Change Control Team to undertake the following:Client & Project Management – Deliver to water, gas, and electrical customers, interpreting client requirements and producing turnkey package solutions within set timescales.Design & Estimating – Create outline designs using AutoCAD, accurately cost projects using software and spreadsheets, and understand contestable connections and specifications.Compliance & Standards – Ensure all work meets UKPS and DNO specifications while correctly interpreting electrical loadings.Supplier & Market Engagement – Obtain quotations/tenders from suppliers, stay informed about the industry, and provide relevant KPI feedback. Qualifications:Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering.Key skills:Ability to work effectively within a team, with good communication skills and a collaborative ethic.Organisational awareness.Analytical thinker.Quick learner, with a thirst for continuous professional development.Customer service orientated, with a desire to achieve the best results and contribute to the success of UKPS. Have you got the drive to go to the Last Mile as a Graduate Engineer?
