As a Postdoctoral Research Assistant, you will act as a mentor and collaborator in our innovative We Are The People project. Your role involves advancing research on Disabled People's Organisations and championing creative, alternative methodologies in community-led research. You will co-produce high-quality research outputs, support the delivery of research projects, and work closely with our Community Research Partners. This role not only calls for research excellence but also a commitment to ensuring ethical and accessible practices in all research activities.
Hours of Work: Part-time, flexible working hours available.
Postdoctoral Research Assistant Requirements:
* A PhD or extensive professional expertise in a relevant area (e.g., disability studies, equality, inclusion, and social justice).
* Proven experience in mentoring and providing research support, especially for individuals new to research.
* Demonstrated involvement in co-produced and participatory research working with community groups.
* Extensive research experience with a strong portfolio of outputs in relevant subjects.
* A thorough understanding of the barriers faced by disabled individuals and strategies to overcome them.
