An opportunity is available for a National Change Administrator based in Plymouth.The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the administration and day to day operation of National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED)’s National Code Change Management programme.Reporting to the National Change Manager, you’ll be the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders and be responsible for monitoring progress of Industry Code changes against plan and ensuring activities are undertaken within the relevant timescalesAs part of our hybrid working approach and in line with our policy, this role allows you to apply for a mix of office and home working. Our vision is to be at the heart of a clean, fair and affordable energy future and we are doing this in a fast-moving industry with an increasing focus on tackling climate change, exploring new energy sources that are renewable, low carbon, and improve efficiency to meet demand.Main ResponsibilitiesAssisting the National Change Manager in developing and maintaining the National Change processes.Assisting in communicating change requirements to all interested parties both inside NGED and, where appropriate, to external contacts.Liaising with Business Owners/IT to ensure change activities are undertaken to the defined timescalesFacilitating the National Change processFacilitating the National Change Tracking and internal notification processAdvising Business Owners on analysis of changesClose out technical and commercial queries in relation to associated CodesLiaising with and providing feedback to External Organisations including OFGEM, DESNZ, Smart DCC, Elexon (both BSC and MHHS Programme), RECCo and SECCo on behalf of NGEDRepresenting NGED at National Meetings as agreed with the National Change ManagerManaging the NGED’s MPAN address maintenance requirementCode documentation management including keeping documentation up to date, recording the distribution & receipt of documents.Validation and assessment of business compliance with industry requirementsCo-ordination of National Audit programmes for various Code BodiesThe Ideal CandidateTo be successful in this role you’ll have enhanced knowledge of NGED business activities, the systems used to support them and the national agreements NGED have to comply with as part of our Licence obligations.You’ll have proven organisational skills, be able to manage multiple activities simultaneously and meet tight deadlines whilst working independently with minimal supervision.You’ll also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills showcasing your ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and uphold professional communications with internal and external parties.You’ll be proficient at report writing, presenting and communicating to people at all levels.You’ll have comprehensive computer skills and be familiar with Microsoft Office packages and be able to learn and to adapt to using bespoke systems.                 Ideally you will also have experience in change administration processesNational Grid Electricity Distribution is committed to safeguarding the interests of the Company, colleagues and customers.
