We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our LFC Foundation team as a Casual Girls Emerging Talent Centre, Strength and Condition Coach on a casual basis.What will you be doing?Contribute to the ETC blueprint / curriculum ensuring there is S&C provision which complements the football programme. Deliver and oversee the delivery of the ETC’s physical development programme, including:Design and deliver individualised athletic development programmes as well as group training sessionsProvide injury rehabilitation training of players as directed by the physiotherapist/sports therapist, in preparation for return to training.Work with Physiotherapist/Sports Therapist to develop and support an activation / prehab programmeManage facilities and equipment within the ETC so that it is well maintained and safe to use.Maintain a comprehensive database of work conducted with athletes and coaches. Keep records which meet the standard required by The FA and the appropriate professional bodies.Communicate with parents in the event of S&C related queries, generally and specifically to their children. Educate parents with regard to their role in supporting physical development, injury prevention, injury care, recovery, diet and other factors relating to lifestyle away from the ETC.Advise and direct other staff on the needs of players. Attend case management meetings and provide professional opinion /input.Educate coaches on the S&C provision and embedding physical outcomes within technical sessions.Work with the ETC’s Safeguarding Manager to ensure that the wellbeing and welfare of all players and staff is always an operational priority.Who are we looking for?To be successful in this role you will have recent experience of developing & delivering individual and group physical preparation, as well as recovery strategies for children and adolescent females. You’ll have experience which has brought you an understanding of internal and external load monitoring, including GPS and heart rate monitoring. You will also have knowledge of injury minimisation strategies. You’ll be able to demonstrate a developed understanding of the application of strength & conditioning in an applied team setting, including some experience in Women's and girls’ football, and knowledge of how key S&C concepts pertain to Women's and girls' football. You will have an up to date understanding of Child Protection and Safeguarding proceduresEssential qualifications and memberships:BSc in Sports Science or a Sport Science related disciplineHold UK Strength and Conditioning Association (UKSCA) or ASCC accreditationFA DBSFA Safeguarding ChildrenFA Level 1 Introduction to First Aid in Football (IFAiF) or FA EmergencyFirst AidWhy should you apply?This is a casual position, offering variable hours including evenings and weekends on a flexible assignment basis. Your main base our Academy, however the post holder will also be required to work from other locations across Merseyside from time to time and be willing to travel within England and Wales.
