What we are offeringSalary of £29,992.47Permanent and full-time position37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.Site-based role at HMP/YOI Peterborough.Please see attached benefits guide for everything we have to offerYour Role as an IAG TutorAs an IAG Tutor, you will play a crucial role in supporting prisoners by providing careers information, advice, and guidance to help them progress towards education, employment, and rehabilitation. You will develop and implement a structured Careers Pathway across the prison, ensuring that all individuals receive a tailored and effective approach to career planning. You will also be responsible for delivering education inductions, assisting with assessments, and overseeing the completion of Personal Learning Plans (PLPs) for all new learners.In this role, you will work closely with learners through one-to-one sessions and group interventions, supporting them in overcoming barriers to learning and personal development. You will monitor attendance, collaborate with teaching staff and neurodiversity support teams, and ensure that career plans remain relevant to each individual's goals. Encouraging engagement with Distance Learning programmes and employability skills, such as CV writing and interview techniques, will be a key focus of your work.You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, liaising with internal stakeholders and external agencies to provide holistic support. Your role will involve training staff on the importance of Personal Learning Plans and embedding them effectively within the prison education system.
