Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist looking for a rewarding role in a supportive team? We are seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our Reablement Team based in Bath. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by helping individuals regain and maintain their independence through rehabilitation and support.

As part of this role, you will work within our short-term Reablement Service, supporting individuals in their own homes or within residential and nursing homes. You will collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team, including Reablement Therapy Workers, Physiotherapists, Therapy Assistant Practitioners, Care Coordinators, and Administrative staff. The team also works alongside GPs, District Nurses, Social Workers, and other community services.

This role requires travel across the Bath and North East Somerset area, so a Full UK Driving License and access to a car are essential.

We offer a Band 6 Salary under Agenda for Change terms and conditions, along with an NHS Pension and enhancements for unsocial hours in line with AfC rates.

The service operates seven days a week, and all staff participate in a team rota, including weekends and bank holidays. Core working hours for Therapists are typically 8:00 – 16:00, with occasional 9:00 – 18:00 and 8:00 – 14:00 shifts.

There is also an opportunity for this position to become a rotational role, providing further development and experience across different areas.

Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Reablement Occupational Therapist you will:


Carry out therapeutic assessment, diagnosis and treatment with patients using person centred goals.
Provide an evidence-based Occupational therapy service of a high standard, to patients in a community setting by undertaking comprehensive assessments, reassessments, care planning, rehabilitation and therapeutic care and support.
Hold responsibility for own case load working with rehabilitation therapy workers to deliver therapeutic programmes
Provide effective supervision to junior Occupational Therapists, Therapy Assistant Practioners and Reablement therapy workers.

The Ideal Candidate
You must hold a Degree in Occupational Therapy
You will be a Registered Occupational Therapist with HCPC
Hold a Full UK Driver’s License and have access to a car/vehicle
