I am working with a key client in the Blackburn, Lancashire area who are a leading global manufacturer and supplier of technical components to the aerospace sector. They are looking to recruit a Manual Hand Router, to work on the build and process of composite and fibre glass assemblies, for critical projects:
As a Router Technician, you will be required to conduct the following duties:
* Routing components and structures to a high finish
* Used to working to high specification - hand routing around the whole component
* Reading and interpreting Engineering drawings
* Using air power tools - router experience
* Prepping parts in jigs to ensure precision of work
* Work to company processes & Health & Safety procedures
The Router Technician will need to have the following attributes:
* Ideally qualified with NVQ L2 or 3 in Engineering or Manufacturing would be beneficial but not essential
* Strong attention to detail and mechanically minded
* Able to use power tools and manual routers
* Hard worker with standards
* A strong team player
* Experience within a precision manufacturing environment
* Strong communication skills, with a keen eye for Health, Safety and Quality
The benefits of this position:
* Monday to Thursday 37 hours p/e standard. Overtime Friday & Saturdays T1.5 & Sundays T2.
* Temp to perm for the right candidate after 3 months
