** Skilled Assembly Fitter - NIGHTS **
Blackburn area - Contract/Temp opportunity
Gross rate - �28.00 - �32.00p/h DOE
PAYE Umbrella or Limited Co. suitable
3-month contract - likely extension/on-going
I am working with a key client in the Blackburn/Lancashire area who are looking for Skilled Fitters, to work on the build of high tolerance composite parts and aluminium structural assemblies for the aerospace sector. Due to new projects and increased workload, they are looking for Fitters to work on a night's shift.
There are several positions available immediately
For this position, you will require to conduct the following duties:
* Ability to read complex engineering drawings to tight tolerances
* Use hand tools
* Assemble, fit all aspects mechanically, structure & body etc
* Working with composite material and aluminium
* Work to production plans and timescales
The successful person will need to have the following attributes:
* Engineering time served/NVQ L3 ideally, or minimum NVQ L2 in fitting and/or light fabrication/sheet metal
* Good workshop body & structure fitting within aerospace industry or similar
* Use of rivet guns, air drills, counter sinks, reamers and Cleco pliers etc
* A strong team player
* Experience ideally within a high precision manufacturing environment with composite materials
* Strong communication skills, with a keen eye for Health, Safety and Quality.
