As a Senior Administrator you will work as part of an integrated administrative team providing a high quality and responsive service.

The Senior Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the team of administrators ensuring there is effective administrative support within the Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service. 

The post holder will be “hands on” regarding the daily activities of the administration team, alongside their additional responsibilities.

Based across Essex, there will be an expectation to be involved with the decision making of the team, embracing any new technology and working towards the improvement of the team and service.

The post holder will be expected to work with minimal supervision, setting their own priorities and meeting with the function leads as required.

This role will be based at County Hall in Chelmsford.

Main Responsibilities
To support the administration functions across Essex, flexing into posts as required.
Ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient information and record keeping on SystmOne
To deputise for the Band 5 Leads during periods of annual leave or sickness.
Line management support for Apprentice’s & Band 3 colleagues i.e. 1;1 appraisal, performance plans & rotas.
Collate and share reports on the team/ service performance with relevant stakeholders
Support implementation of new ways of working as required
Must be able to work flexibility across quadrants including travel to other Essex locations to support teams (Minimum two days per week)
Support function lead in day to day running of the Administration hub
To embrace and fully utilise both current and new computer programmes
Maintain a friendly and professional manner either face-to-face or over the telephone with all stakeholders, could include but not limited to Families, external agencies, and colleagues.
To use agreed SOPs, guidelines and procedures, when carrying out role.

The Ideal CandidateEssential


Excellent numeracy and literacy
Knowledge of Microsoft packages, including diary management
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Demonstrates the ability to work independently using own initiative
Previous general office experience
Understanding of patient needs and NHS
Awareness of Health & Safety relevant to role
Understanding of Information Governance


Desirable


ECDL or equivalent
SystmOne Experience


There may be travel across the Essex area, so a driving licence & access to a car for work purposes will be required.
