We\'re currently recruiting a dedicated L1 Finance Assistant to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Compass Group UK on a full time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.As a L1 Finance Assistant, you will use your skills to maintain a high standard of quality work. Here\'s what you need to know before applying:Key Responsibilities:Prepare key schedules for statutory accounts.Manage the preparation of statutory accounts for smaller trading and dormant entities.Liaise with group finance contacts to obtain necessary information.Communicate with stakeholders to ensure the completeness of accounts.Prepare detailed information for external auditors.Continuously review processes for efficiency.Analyze and interpret large data sets from various sources.Assist the Finance Manager in managing and training junior colleagues on specific activities, such as balance sheet reporting.Prepare central balance sheet reconciliations monthly and present findings in review meetings.Coordinate and attend central balance sheet review meetings, maintaining a tracker of findings.Provide support to other team areas during busy periods.Ensure timely filing and payment of payroll returns and liabilities.Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses for internal and external stakeholders.Stay updated on international accounting standards to ensure accurate reporting.Our Ideal Finance Assistant Will:Have strong numeric and analytical skills.Communicate information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.Analyze and evaluate information effectively.Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others.Plan and organize work efficiently.Thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.Maintain a positive attitude towards colleagues.Be knowledgeable about current and planned changes to international accounting standards.SAP/Cognos experience is desirable.As part of Compass you\'ll help to feed people, fuel progress and forge connections in around 6,000 venues.
