Support WorkerPay rate: £ (Monthly Pay)Shift Pattern:Requirements:Unfortunately, we cannot provide VISA sponsorship and we do not hire on a relocation basis, you must currently be based in/around the XXX area and able to commute.We've got a rewarding opportunity for the right person to work with an individual living in XXX.If you are resilient, reliable, empathetic and looking for a role that truly makes a difference to someone else's life then we want to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Workers cover all manners of support for others - from companionship and days out, to personal care and housekeeping.Patient Care & Safety:Ensure the child remains sepsis-free by monitoring health and line infection risk.Support the child in preventing pulling or manipulation of their medical line to reduce associated risks.Enable the child to safely access nursery provisions, maintaining health and safety protocols.Family Support:Provide support to the child’s mother by helping her achieve restful sleep, ensuring she can effectively care for her children.Medical Training & Competence:Be trained by a paediatric nurse in essential healthcare procedures and protocols, including:Intravenous Central Line Awareness: Understanding risks and management of intravenous central lines.TPN (Total Parental Nutrition): Awareness and safe management of TPN for nutrition support.Gastrostomy/Jejunostomy Tube Feeding: Administer feeding and manage drainage systems safely.Sepsis and Line Infection Recognition: Identifying signs of sepsis and infection related to medical lines.Basic Life Support/First Aid: Ability to respond to medical emergencies.Moving and Handling: Safe lifting and moving of the child, ensuring their comfort and safety.Equipment Usage: Competence in the use of medical equipment as required for care.Falls Prevention: Implementing strategies to minimize the risk of falls.Infection Control: Adherence to infection prevention protocols.Health & Safety (Risk Management): Identifying and managing risks in the care environment.Fire Safety: Knowledge of fire safety procedures and precautions.Safeguarding Adults and Children: Ensuring the safety and welfare of the patient and family.Food Safety: If involved in food preparation, understanding safe food handling practices.Medicines Management: Administering medications accurately and following proper guidelinesSkills, Knowledge and ExpertisePrevious experience in paediatric or healthcare settings is preferred, but not essential.Strong commitment to patient safety and wellbeing.Ability to work effectively with families and other healthcare professionals.Must be able to handle sensitive situations with empathy, patience, and professionalism.Full training will be provided for the necessary medical skills listed above.Essential Skills:Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Attention to detail and ability to follow healthcare protocols accurately.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Compassionate, caring, and reliable.BenefitsAccess to Westfield Rewards - an exclusive rewards website, special offers on all your favourite goods and services from over 1,000 leading online and high street retailers, restaurants, travel companies.Access to Westfield Health Cash Plan with access to GP appts and to an EAP (employee assistance programme) ,money back for optical and dentistry.Access to blue light discount scheme.Attractive holiday entitlement.Opportunity to obtain NVQ's in Health and Social Care.Progression opportunities within the organisation.Ongoing training and development.Pension enrolment.A great Refer a Friend scheme - receive up to £500 through our rewards scheme when you refer a friend or family member.#BHSAbout Bespoke Health and Social CareWe are a leading healthcare provider in the UK, and a CQC Registered business, founded in 2006, with more than 800 employees who are part of the Bespoke Family.
