Mulberry Ward, our stroke rehabilitation unit, is looking for an enthusiastic Unit Manager to complete our In Patient Management Team.
Working alongside an established Multi-Disciplinary Team, the Unit Leader will hold responsibility for ensuring the delivery of a high standard of care to Patients. Key to this role is effective, supportive management of The Team.
Mulberry Ward Manager will be pivotal to raise stroke standards, develop a rehab ethos specific to those admitted following a stroke.
Experience in stroke care with relevant knowledge and experience will support the team in the specific SSNAP (The Sentinel Stroke National Audit Programme) guidance and standards we should be striving to benchmark against.

Main ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for contributing to the holistic assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care. You will deliver nursing care in accordance with national and local priorities, organisational Policies, procedures and guidelines and in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

The Ideal CandidateOur ideal candidate will be / will have:
Registered Nurse (RN) with current live PIN on NMC register
Teaching and assessing qualification
Experience of people management
5 years’ experience as a registered nurse, with a minimum of 2 years Band 6 experience in an inpatient setting
Experience in a variety of settings including hospital and community
Experience of Stroke, Orthopaedic and Medical conditions with rehabilitation focus
Experience in the management of end-of-life care
Evidence of enteral feeding
Experience of MDT working
As this role requires travel, a driving license and access to a car is required for this role.
