Dean Close Foundation are looking to appoint a new cohort of Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTA) starting in September 2025, who are looking to start a career in teaching or sports coaching.Under the line management of the Assistant Head Co-Curricular, the GTA role is pivotal in providing sporting and academic support for pupils, a top-class evening and weekend activity programme, contributing to the academic life of the school and being an integral part of the boarding community. Other roles and responsibilities are to include: Pastoral duties where you would be supporting our Houseparent’s in various duties in our boarding house Assist in the delivery of co-curricular learning outside of the classroom in areas such as sport, music and drama. Running and coaching various sports teams with the Foundation. Assisting the relevant Academic Department to your degree, supporting our teaching staff before working with small groups to support their learning. Supervision of workrooms and lessons during a teacher’s absence.The successful candidates will be qualified to Degree level and has a passion to start their career in Teaching or Sports coaching.
