This entry level Assistant Plant Operator role comes with a salary of �37,000 + benefits.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Shift Team Leader, you will:
* Ensure compliance to all health, safety and environmental regulations on site.
* Complete training and develop your competence in line with the sites safety rules.
* Carry out regular plant walkarounds and inspections to ensure efficient and safe operations of the plant, as well as record and log issues and safety concerns clearly and concisely.
* Learn to understand the correct way to respond to emergency situations.
* Assist in the operating of the plant systems as well as operate mobile plant equipment and overhead gantry.
* Assist in the monitoring of plant inputs and outputs.
* Collect and report data as instructed.
* Provide shift cover in case of illness, holiday or training absences.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* Ideally operations experience in a similar environment or a background in defence sectors.
* Experience operating mobile plant equipment would be advantageous.
* Computer literate.
* Knowledge of health and safety practises.
Personal skills
The Assistant Plant Operator role would suit someone who:

* Has good communication standards both written and verbal.
