What does our successful Operational Planner look like? Highly motivated and detail-oriented, they have a blend of skills - high attention to detail and accuracy, excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills, with a good knowledge of national geography.A positive team player, empathetic and supportive towards others, and able to work autonomously. The Role The Operational Planner is responsible for overseeing & planning our Private Ambulance Crew and Ashes Return Specialist resource. to ensure that we fulfil both bringing our clients into care and returning their loved ones ashes, and other logistical duties to meet our service levels. Key ResponsibilitiesLiaising with families, care homes and mortuaries to arrange ‘reactive’ transfer of care of our families loved ones.Liaising with families to arrange the return of their loved ones ashes.Managing our planned transfer of care and return of ashes across England and Wales.Producing routes, tasks and documentation for our Private Ambulance Crew and Ashes Return Specialists. Ensuring that each planned route is optimised for efficiency and service.Acting as a first point of contact for the Private Ambulance Crew and Ashes Return Specialists.Keep accurate customer records in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system of all planned activities.Work with our external Funeral Director network to ensure we are maximising operational efficiency.Communicating with 3rd party organisations such as hospital mortuaries, hospices & local funeral directors to build strong, positive relationships.Being able to articulate the legal requirements at the point death and the Company’s procedures and processes which would be applicable.Ensure that all key areas are allocated resources in a time efficient manner.To ensure that all journeys are resourced, and route optimised to drive efficiency.Liaise with other departments to help speed up transfer of care issues.Produce any necessary documentation for transfer of care.Adhere to the current company policy regarding data protection.Act as a Champion for Health and Safety across the teams so that all activities are conducted with Safety and People Welfare as a prime consideration.Participate in the on-call rota:Our Benefits Generous 30 days holiday plus bank holidaysBupa Health Cash PlanLife AssuranceCompany Pension, or option for SMART Pension.
