Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Customer Engineering Manager, you will:
• Perform planned preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial biomass steam boilers and associated systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve plant breakdowns and technical issues efficiently.
• Carry out routine servicing and inspections of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment.
• Manage and oversee specialist sub-contractors on-site, ensuring compliance with site requirements and safety standards.
• Record and report maintenance tasks using the company’s computerised maintenance system (Pirana).
• Ensure all health, safety, and environmental regulations are adhered to on-site.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
• A minimum of HND or equivalent qualification, or a time-served apprenticeship in a mechanical/electrical engineering discipline.
• At least 2 years’ relevant experience in an industrial environment, ideally with an electrical bias.
• Experience with field service and support, particularly in troubleshooting customer problems.
• A full UK driving licence.
